Professor (Ali Sami) and Professor (Maysam Jamal) from the Iraqi Project Finance Company attended a workshop held by the Central Bank of Iraq, where the Iraqi Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Office conducted a workshop specialized in introducing the system for receiving electronic reports (goAML). The system is an integrated software solution developed by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), for use by Financial Intelligence Units (FIU's) for data collection, management, analysis and document management. The system will also contribute to the abolition of the currently approved paper-based reporting system, thus enhancing the Republic of Iraq’s commitment to international standards related to combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
