Strengthening oversight begins with awareness, and compliance begins with knowledge
As part of the Iraqi Company for Financing Small and Medium Enterprises - ICF’s efforts to enhance the institutional work environment and raise the level of regulatory awareness among its staff, a training workshop was held entitled: “Internal Control and Compliance in Financial Institutions.”

It was presented by Ms. Maysam Al-Kawak, and it addressed a group of important topics, most notably the concepts and objectives of internal control, process control, compliance and risk management, and control tools and practical application.

This workshop comes within ICF’s interest in developing the capabilities of its employees, enhancing adherence to approved procedures and controls, and establishing a culture of control and compliance in a way that supports work efficiency and maintains a more disciplined and effective institutional environment.
